Ralph James "Jim" Hadder, age 78, of Pompano Beach, Florida, formerly of Lakeview, Six Lakes, and Bostwick Lake, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Boulder Creek Assisted Living in Rockford, after a long battle with cancer. The son of Ruth Livonia (Camp) & William Floyd Hadder, Jr., he was born on July 12, 1942 in Lakeview, Michigan, and was a graduate of Lakeview High School.
On November 23, 1960, in Charlevoix, Michigan, he married Madeline Ann Zaremba and together they raised two daughters and enjoyed over 60 years of marriage. Jim was a truck driver most of his working years, retiring from Herman Miller in Zeeland. He loved boating and his friends at the marina, as well as deer hunting and his deer camp friends, but most of all delighted in time spent with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved Bernese Mountain Dog and companion, Bruno. Surviving are his wife, Madeline "Midge" Hadder; their daughters, Angela Marie & Efren Gonzalez, and Laurie Ellen Marvin & Brad Franck; four grandchildren, Nina & Jeb Schooley, Buddy & Alisha Gonzalez, Drew Marvin, and Olivia Marvin; a great-granddaughter, Macey Marie Gonzalez; two brothers, Bill Hadder, and David & Dar Hadder; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside committal services are at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Coral Cemetery, just west of Coral on Kendaville Road, with Deacon John Falicki of St. John Paul II and Mary Queen of the Apostles Parishes officiating. The family invites you to share a remembrance or story at the end of the service. A luncheon will be served immediately following the ceremony at Turk Lake Restaurant.
