Rafael Meana, age 90, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019.
He was born on December 21, 1928, in Chicago, IL, to Bernardo & Bertha (DuVignau) Meana.

Rafael proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was aboard the USS Tarawa and USS Valley Forge Aircraft Carrier.
He worked as electrician for the City of Chicago and later the City of Grand Rapids.
He married Ruth Delnay on June 27, 1992.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Meana; children, Mark Meana, Jill (Mike) Forgensi, Jeff Means, Charmian (Scott) Bryant and Wayne Noblett; step-children, Katherine Baez, Deborah Hansen, Carl (Alice) Schwander, Irene (Tom) Kamphuis; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Marlin Meana and step-daughter, Janet Bieber.
