Phyllis Lea Weaver, maiden name Kirk, 67, passed away on March 24, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in West Palm Beach, Florida, to Richard John Kirk and Clara Ann Hartman. Phyllis grew up in Tacoma, Washington, where she spent her early years. She later had her children in Arizona before eventually settling in Michigan, where she lived out the rest of her life surrounded by her family and memories.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children, Joseph Ryan Carlson; Sheldon Craig Weaver and his wife, Kara Weaver; and Rebecca Nicole Dreadfulwater and her husband, Dustin Dreadfulwater. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Madisyn, Ryder, and Kade. She is survived by her brother, Richard John Kirk, her sisters, Kathryn Ann Venable and Bonnie Arnone.
Phyllis had a love for shopping and thrifting, always finding joy in the little treasures she came across. She adored her dogs, especially Beasley, who passed in 2022, and her beloved Winston, who brought her comfort and companionship.
She was a kind and gentle soul who loved with everything she had. Phyllis had a playful, silly spirit and a gift for making others laugh, often through the simplest words or unexpected moments. Her warmth, humor, and unconditional love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Phyllis was blessed with a best friend, Lisa, who was always there whenever she was needed, offering unwavering support, love, and companionship. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Brenda, whose care and compassion brought comfort to Phyllis in her time of need before hospice.
βHe will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away.β β Revelation 21:4
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all those whose lives she touched.
