Phyllis Verburg

Phyllisanne Verburg, age 65, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Metro Health Hospital in Wyoming surrounded by her two sons and their spouses. The daughter of Earl & Eleanor (Haggerty) Verburg, she was born on February 3, 1953 in Grand Rapids where she was born and raised most of her life. went to be with her Lord The epitome of positivity and love, Phyllis worked as a nurse's aid and caregiver at St. Ann's home. Phyllis excelled at her position, touched by all who she cared for, and a friend to all she worked with. Her loving, open, and truly accepting personality made Phyllis a friend of all that had come in contact with her throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her sons, George Poindexter Jr., and Timothy Verburg; siblings, Dianne, Richard, Charles & Diane, Tom & Beverly, Mickey & Chris, Nancy & Lee, and Donna Verburg; as well as her grandchildren, Emma, Lenoxx, Tim Jr., and Haleigh. sons, George Poindexter Jr., and Timothy Verburg; There will not be a funeral, but a celebration of life to be planned at a later date Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
