Philip Teichmann

Philip Robert Teichmann, age 81, of Ionia, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The son of Jacob & Elinore (Dreger) Teichmann he was born July 29, 1934 in Ionia. Philip enjoyed bowling and golfing. A proud U.S. Army Veteran, Philip served his county in the Korean War. On February 24, 1962 he married Barbara Bever. Philip was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Alice (Ralph) Montz; brother, John Teichmann; and brother-in-laws, William "Bill" Gerke and Ralph Prince. Surviving is his loving wife, Barbara; daughters, Gail (Scott) Sherman, Jennifer Teichmann; son, Steven Teichmann; sisters, Betty Gerke, and Marilyn Prince; grandson, Anthony Sherman; and great grandson, Royale Anthony Cruz Sherman. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at Hyland Park Cemetery in Ionia.
