Raymond A. "Mike" McPhee, past Grand Master of Masons in Michigan, died June 9, 2006 at the age of 91. Raymond was the product of the hard working depression era. He spent his youth in Belding and most of his adult life in Greenville, moving to Lansing upon his retirement from Gibson Refrigerator Co. He was a past master and life member the Greenville Masonic Lodge No. 96 F&AM, continuing on to become the Grand Master of Mason's in Michigan in 1971. He was very proud to be asked to be an honorary member of 37 Masonic Lodges in the state. Raymond was an avid pilot, owning several different aircraft and obtaining a multi-engine commercial pilots license in his early years. He also was an instructor in the Civil Air Patrol. Raymond and his wife Lucille traveled extensively in their Motor Home before her passing in 1999. Raymond, a much loved father, leaves behind a daughter Patricia (Richard) Howe, 2 sons Dennis (Dianna) McPhee, and Terrence (Linda) McPhee, 2 grandchildren, Matthew and Michael (Kimmie) McPhee, 4 great grandchildren, Chase and Kennedy, Bethany and Madyson McPhee and his pal dog Missy. Private Masonic graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2006. Local Mason's who wish to participate should gather at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 511 S.
