Paula Kelly

Paula Lynn (Shoup) Kelly, age 62, of Wyoming, Michigan, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, after a three-year battle with uterine cancer on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. She was born March 5, 1962, in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Jerry and Judy (Grotenrath) Shoup and proceeded in death by her Father-in-Law Bernard Kelly. Paula graduated from Kellogsville High School with the class of 1980. She married the love of her life, Timothy Kelly on April 6, 1984, in Wyoming, MI. Paula worked over 20 years in the deli at Meijer on 54th street. She enjoyed crafting, bingo, baseball, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. She was especially proud of her two grandsons. Survivors include her husband, Tim; daughter, Stephanie Kelly; grandsons, Kaleb Kelly and Cayden Ortega; four brothers, Brian (Kellie), Jeff (Lisa), Terry (Connie), and Mike; her very special Uncle, Bob Grotenrath; brothers in-law & sisters in-law, Mike & Peggy Kelly, Gail DeGennaro, Debbie & Gary Wojczynski, Mary Kelly and Terry & Pat Kelly; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sarah Vanderzwaag N.P. at Trinity Health and all the medical staff at The University of Michigan Health-West that helped her fight her battle the last 3 years; also for their care, compassion, and help throughout this difficult time and during Paula’s cancer journey. A heartfelt thank you to our immediate family, friends and baseball families for all of their love, support and prayers. Per Paula’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial will take place at a later date and details will be announced as soon as they become available.
