Mr. Paul Stewart Wilson, age 66, of Sidney, formerly of Grand Rapids and Sparta, passed away Saturday morning, Oct. 25, 2008 at Spectrum Health United Memorial-United Hospital, Greenville.
Born on Sept. 2, 1942, in Grand Rapids, Paul was veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, proudly serving in the U.S. Army. For most of his life after the service, Paul worked as a dry wall contractor and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling. He had been a member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Virginia Mae Andrieux on March 29, 2004; his parents; and one brother and one sister.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Shannon & Andy Freeland of Sidney; four grandchildren, Alexis, Michael, Wade, and Collin Freeland; six brothers and sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
Committal services, with full military honors, are at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008 at Fort Custer National Cemetery near Battle Creek.
