Paul Lance Nuckolls, age 73, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital. Paul was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 18, 1944.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served his country in the Vietnam war. Paul then went on to work for the CSX Railroad for 42 years before retiring. Paul enjoyed spending his time socializing with family, and being a part of their everyday life and happenings.
Paul is preceded in death by his father, Harry W. Nuckolls. He is survived by his wife, Susan (Weiler) Nuckolls; children, Matthew (Elizabeth) Nuckolls, Michael (Rebecca) Nuckolls, and John (Jackie) Bouma; grandchildren, Bradley & Nicole Richardson, Tyler Bouma, Katelyn Bouma, and Joseph Nuckolls; mother, Jeanette Nuckolls; brother, Marc Nuckolls; sister, Carol (Nuckolls) DuVall; as well as many other extended and beloved family members. Rest in Peace, Paul. You were an amazing husband, son, father, grandfather and friend.
Visitation with the family is from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 3627 Linden Ave. S.E., at 36th St., Wyoming, (one block west of Eastern Ave.) where memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
