Patrick Williamson

Patrick Allen Williamson, age 75, passed away on February 28, 2015 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans, where he had resided for the past 17 years. Pat attended Kelloggsville High School, and then joined the Army. He attended basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He went on to jump school at Fort Bragg, NC, and served his country as paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. Pat is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mildred Williamson; daughter, Julie Anne Haan; grand daughter, Shelby Lee Martin; and brother, Mike Williamson. He will be sadly missed by: sons, Jeff and John Williamson; daughters, Allison (Lee) Martin, and Patrice Jones and fiance Jeremy DeWitt, Brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Barb Williamson, former spouse and close friend, Leora Williamson. And his many friends and caregivers at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans He dearly loved his grandchildren, Travis, Stacy, Derek, Chase, Paige, Jonathon, Tosha, Brooke, Brandon, Taylor, Cory, Samantha, Corey, Kevin (Jenee) and great grandchildren, Analisia, Draven, Isiah, Vanessa, Julia, and Leah. Cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans, 3000 Monroe Ave. N.W., Grand Rapids, MI 49505. Visitation will be held for one hour prior in the chapel from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Following the service a luncheon will be served at the American Legion Post 208, located at 133 - 44th St. S.E.
