Patrick Green

Patrick Lester Green, age 75, of Six Lakes, formerly of Hartland and Fenton, passed away early Saturday morning, January 13, 2018 at Spectrum Health Rehab & Nursing Center-Kelsey Hospital in Lakview. The son of Lester & Velma (Mills) Green, he was born on October 18, 1942 in Grand Rapids. A proud veteran of the Vietnam era, Patrick served in the United States Army and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and Sharpshooter-Rifle badge. He retired as purchasing manager from Atlas Technologies in Fenton. On July 5, 1963, in Grand Rapids, he married the former Kathleen Marie Farnan and together they raised two children and enjoyed 44 years of marriage until Kathleen passed away on July 28, 2007. Survivors include his son, Joe & Penny Green of Riley Township; a daughter, Kimberly & Christie Nelsen of Six Lakes; and two grandsons, Owen Green, and Roland Green, both at home. Committal services, with military honors, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, Michigan, 48442.
