Patricia Drake

Patricia K. Drake, age 87, of Lowell, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 in the comfort of her home with her husband by her side. The daughter of Peter & Evelyn (Robbins) Karel, she was born in Grand Rapids. Patricia is preceded in passing by her parents; sisters, Iris Allen, and Janice Barr; as well as her brother, Leslie Karel. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Brian; sons, Dan (Sally) Pierce, and Jeff (Linda) Pierce; grandchildren, Kevin and Kelly Pierce; step-children, Tim Munday, and Kerri Drake; as well as many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Patricia was a graduate of Central High School and Michigan State. She was a first grade teacher at Lowell area school for 27 years. Following her retirement she enjoyed gardening, reading, going bird watching, and spending time at local coffee shops with her friends. Visitation is from 1:30-3 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017 at the First Congregational Church of Lowell, 865 Lincoln Lake S.E., Lowell, where memorial services will take place at 3 p.m. on Friday.
