Patricia “Pat” Bagby-Jones

Patricia “Pat” Bagby-Jones, age 66, of Ionia, Michigan, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Corewell Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan, after a brief battle with cancer while her husband, Randy, held her hand. The daughter of Walter Scott & Jeralyn Jean (Stweart) Bagby, she was born on April 11, 1959 in Trenton, New Jersey. On June 26, 2002, in Boca Raton, Florida, she married Randy Scott Jones. Pat was a loving sister, wife, friend, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her empathy for others and her endearing smile. She cherished her cats, Layla and Domino, and enjoyed reading during her quiet time. She was a good soul and had worked as a certified nurses aide at The Laurels of Kent in Lowell. Surviving are her husband, Randy Jones of Ionia; her children, Dan & Laura Ketchum of Grayling, Jennifer & Paul Waters of Scottville, and Jay Ketchum of Holland; four grandchildren, Cameron, Connor, Aiden, and Wyatt; two sisters, Tam Bagby & Tom Watson of Rockford, and Llyn & Gary Wheeler of Wyoming; two brothers, Jon & Mary Bagby of Boca Raton, Florida, and David & Cindy Bagby of Zeeland; two brothers-in-law, Daniel & Barb Jones of Greenville, Ronald & Jennifer Jones of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025 at Calvary Baptist Church, 12501 Montcalm Road, Greenville, with Pastor Bart Bouman officiating. A luncheon will follow the ceremony and burial will take place privately at a later date.
