Patricia Ann “Patti” Zima, aged 81, formerly of Greenville, Michigan, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025 in Muskegon, Michigan.
The oldest daughter of six children, she was born on November 12, 1943 to Robert & Annebelle (Porter) Ross.
Always an adventurer, she moved to Florida in 1971. She frequently traveled with friends and family to destinations across the United States. Pat enjoyed all things creative. She painted abstract art and made custom creations for family and friends.
Patti had a daughter and two sons, was close to her brothers, Tom, Roger, and Doug, and shared a special relationship with her younger sister, Kathy. Pat worked in a variety of different industries and was self-employed at various times. In 1989 she met William “Bill” Zima, marrying in 1990 and returning to Michigan in 1993. Both Pat and Bill were baptized into The Church of Latter-day Saints in 2004.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Ross; her mother, Annebelle English; her brothers, Keith Ross, Roger Ross, and Tom Ross; and her husband, William “Bill” Zima.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda & Matt Rettig; two sons, Bill & Mandy Hicks, and David & Renée Hicks; a sister, Kathy Fritsma; a brother, Doug Ross; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services are at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 10700 W. Carson City Road (Highway M-57), Greenville, Michigan 48838. Rest easy and find joy in the presence of your Lord, Patti.
