Pamela Smith

Pamela J. Smith, age 60, of Grand Rapids, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by family. The daughter of Nathan Sr. & Joan (Molag) Williams, she was born on August 25, 1957 in Grand Rapids. Pamela enjoyed reading, crafting and was an avid collector of Mickey Mouse items. However one of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandkids. Surviving are her children, Joseph C. (Ashley) Smith, and Lucie (Ryan) Vesely; step-children, Vickie (Robert) Hawkins-Smith and Brian Smith; siblings, Kim (Rick) Carpenter, and Nate (Paula) Williams; grandchildren, Hannah Potts, Joseph K. Smith, Torrence Smith, Jacob McGee, Chase Smith, Rashelle Smith, Alexander Vesely, Jada Vesely, Jamie Ridout, Charlie Hawkins, Tristan Smith, Gabriel Smith, Alexis Smith, and Bria Smith; great grandchild, Belleanna McIntyre; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Surviving are her children, Joseph C. (Ashley) Smith, and Lucie (Ryan) Vesely; step-children, Vickie (Robert) Hawkins-Smith and Brian Smith; siblings, Kim (Rick) Carpenter, and Nate (Paula) Williams; grandchildren, Hannah Potts, Joseph K. Smith, Torrence Smith, Jacob McGee, Chase Smith, Rashelle Smith, Alexander Vesely, Jada Vesely, Jamie Ridout, Charlie Hawkins, Tristan Smith, Gabriel Smith, Alexis Smith, and Bria Smith; great grandchild, Belleanna McIntyre; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Pamela was loved by everyone in her neighborhood, and was like a mother figure to so many. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 2nd, at Hillcrest Community Church, 850 Norwich Ave. S.W., Grand Rapids, with a luncheon to follow the service.
