Pamela Goorhouse

Pamela K. Goorhouse (Chapin), age 62, of Irons, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Heartland Health Care Center of Crestview in Wyoming, surrounded by family. The daughter of Richard & Audrey (Eller) Chapin, she was born on November 30, 1953, in Grand Rapids. Pamela was a hard dedicated worker for over 40 years as the head housekeeper in many different hotels throughout Michigan. The last hotel was Little River Casino where she made many friends and enjoyed her job to the fullest everyday. Pamela has quite the sweet tooth and loved chocolate, she also enjoyed reading, playing sudoku, but most importantly getting to spend time with her grandkids and great grandkids. Pamela was preceded in death by her father. Surviving are her loving husband of 20 years, George; children, Thomas (Inga) DeLooff, Sheila (Tom) Pelli, Stacy (Brad) Syers, Charles (Maggie) Thiel, Garett (Teresa) Goorhouse, Geana Goorhouse, Geta (Kevin) Smith and James (Karen) Swainston; twenty-two grandkids; seven great grandkids; siblings, Kathryne (Doug) Bibler, Debroah Smith, Keith (Caroline) Chapin, Rebecca (Doug) Kurtzal, Richard (Mary) Chapin and Susan (Marty) DeLooff; dog, Tori; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Pamela to Spectrum Health Hospice. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016, from 1:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at the Fire Hall, 1930 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids. Pamela K.
