Opa Dickerson

Opa Dickerson, 96, passed away Friday, June 7th, 2019 at Pilgrim Manor, with her family at her side. The daughter of Vernon & Nola Mae (Raymer) Autry she was born May 30, 1923 in Richardsville, Kentucky. Opa worked for many years as a secretary at the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce. She loved her Lord and Savior, and her church family at Central Christian (Disciple of Christ). Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, extended family, and friends. Opa was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Dickerson; parents; and grandson Brian Green. She is survived by her children, Linda & Ben Green, and Don & Michelle Dickerson; grandchildren, Derek & Kari Dickerson, Connie Green, Brad & Heidi Green, Lisa & Rick Walker; great grandchildren, Tyler, Clayton, Trenton, and Adeline; and many other family and friends. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 A.M., on Saturday, June 15th, 2019 at Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 2525 Leonard Street N.E., 49505, with services following at 11:00 A.M. Rev. John Delger & Rev. Beth Rodenhouse will officiate, with a luncheon following services. The family would like to thank Pilgrim Manor staff for their support and care for Opa; and a special heartfelt thank you to Rev. John Delger and Rev. Beth Rodendouse for their pastoral support. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate contributions in Opa's memory to either the ALS foundation or Central Christian Church, envelopes will be available at the service.
