Norma Leaver

Norma Leaver, age 85, formerly of Fremont, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010 in Holland. The daughter of John V. & Nora (Carlson) Johnson, she was born on June 17, 1925, in Kent City. Before the onset of Alzheimer's, Norma was very active in community activities and the Fremont United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Jack; two daughters, Kathyrn (Roger) DeKuiper of Holland, Jan (James) Hoffman of Fremont; three sons, William (Jeanne) of Des Moines, IA, Jack Jr. (partner Lynda) of Newaygo, Michael (partner Henry) of Minneapolis, MN; five grandchildren, Abraham (Sheryl) Leaver, Rylee(Jason) Beauvais, Kathryn Hoffman, Colin (Megan) DeKuiper, Kendra DeKuiper; step-grandchildren, Anna (Paul) Papes, Mack Adama and Emily Adama; four great grandchildren, Madison Leaver, Peyton Leaver, Ella Beauvais, Abby Beauvais; two sisters, Imogene Clement of Kent City, Althea Swift of Cedar Springs; brother-in-law, Dan (Juanita) Leaver of Fruitport; and many nieces and nephews.
