Mrs. Naomi Hansen-Christiansen, age 90, of Greenville, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday morning, September 30, 2009 from St. Marys Health Care, Grand Rapids, after a brief illness. The daughter of Peter & Esther (Nielsen) Jensen, she was born Dec. 7, 1918 in Edmore. Following her graduation from Edmore High School, she attended County Normal and earned her teaching certificate. She then taught in the one-room Castle School near Fenwick for three years until marrying Marvin Hansen on March 16, 1940 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Edmore. On January 10, 1981, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, she married Garfield Christiansen and retired that same year from the practice of Anderson & Hansen. Together, she and Gar enjoyed almost 25 years of marriage until her preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 2004.
