Nancy Witte

Nancy P. Witte, age 81, passed away Wednesday evening, October 2, 2019 at Spectrum Health Blodgett with her family at her side. The daughter of George & Theophilia (Gillis) Petersen, she was born August 25, 1938 in Kent County. Nancy had many hobbies including, reading, knitting, crocheting and baking. In the summer of 2019 she closed her beloved book store, The Book Coral, which she owned and operated for over 30 years. She is survived by her children, Christine & Ed Weigman, Aidan Witte, and Juliann Witte; grandchildren, April Gearhart, Christopher Gearhart, Kevin Witte; great-grandson, Wesley Gearhart; brothers, Mike Petersen, and Frank & Sharon Petersen; sister, Kay & Edwin Dunneback; along with many other friends and family. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. Internment will take place privately at Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery.
