Nancy Reed

Nancy Reed, age 76, of Grand Rapids, loving wife and mother, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015. The daughter of William & Mildred (Colby) Condon, she was born on January 5, 1939 in Lowell. Nancy graduated from Central Michigan University in 1961 with a degree in Music Education and was an accomplished musician, teacher, singer and an avid sports fan. She loved spending time away "Up North" at her beloved second home in Indian River for many years. Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Daniel Reed; four children, Lori Reed, Todd Reed, Sally Ogle and Melissa (Kurt) Kropf; grandchildren, Renae, Elaine and Danny Reed, and Isabel and Chloe Kropf; siblings, Donna Repik, Bud Condon, Bill Condon, Bob (Deanne) Condon and Pat (Roy) Jeffery; sister-in-law, Jackie Badersnider; as well as many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a private family service has been held in her honor. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
