Nancy Lee Austin, age 63, of Greenville, passed away Sunday afternoon, January 18, 2009 at Spectrum Health United Memorial-United Hospital, Greenville with her loving family at her side. The daughter of George & Elizabeth (Musser) Mangus, she was born on June 30, 1945, in Belding. On July 7, 1985, in Belding, she married Floyd Austin.
Known for her sense of humor, Nancy lived life as a card, enjoying casino gambling and bingo and relished in being a clearance rack queen.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, George & Elizabeth Mangus; her first husband, Roger Larsen, in 1982; her son, Andrew F. Austin on March 12, 2003; a sister Ruth Ann Blair; and two brothers, Floyd & Larry Mangus.
Surviving are her husband, Floyd; two daughters, Mary Lynn Blanding of Greenville and Holly & Scott Slater of Alma; a son, Howard & Tammy Larsen of Sidney; three step-children, Julie & Bruce Liscombe of Duck Lake, Bob & Teri Austin of Belding, and Dave & Chris Allen of Greenville; a sister, Betty Lafferty of Florida; a brother, Lloyd & Mary Lou Mangus of Greenville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
