Monette Burk

Our Mom, Monette Burk, known to many as "Mona" passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2020. She was born in Nitta-Gun, Japan on July 31, 1955, to Robert Baker and Yoshi Myamoto. She moved to the United States shortly after her birth and eventually settled in Eaton Rapids, MI. Mona was the oldest sister to Dale (Charlene) Baker, Edwin Baker, Patty Hamby, Elbert Payne and Gail (Paris) Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brothers, Edwin and Elbert. Surviving are her step-dad, Robert Sattler; her children, Eric Kilbourne, Jaime (Andy) Crow, and Stefanie Martin; grandchildren, Kenyon (Brittany) Kilbourne, Dakota Kilbourne, Anastasia Kilbourne, Tre (Skye) Elston, Dylan Elston, Isaiah Rowe, Brianna Rowe, Taylor Crow, Kennedie Crow, and Charlotte Crow; and many nieces and nephews as well. Mona also leaves behind her two beloved, goldendoodles Kassey and Sammy. Mona worked in healthcare since 1989. She loved her job and the people she worked with at McLaren on Lake Lansing Rd. They were her second family. Our mom was happiest when she was baking or cooking for others. If there was ever a need she would be there to help in any way she could. She would do anything for anyone. She was a talented crafter as well. Most of all she loved her family very much and she will be missed by so many family and friends. Per Mona's wishes cremation has taken place and no public services will be held at this time. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids, 616-452-3006.
