Mitchell Tony-Quillan Bergey, age 23, of Cedar Springs, passed away early Sunday morning for injuries received in an automobile accident in Osceola County. The son of Angela Naomi Jones and Tony Jason-Daniel Bergey, he was born on October 17, 1996 in Grand Rapids and had worked in the construction trades.
Mitchell's greatest love, after God, was music and he enjoyed music festivals, riding quads, playing poker, camping, swimming, fishing, being with family and friends, traveling, and driving.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Larry Quillan Jones; his paternal grandmother, Hazel Hopkins; and an uncle, Darrin Platz.
Surviving are his mother, Angela Dutton of Cedar Springs; his father, Tony Bergey of Las Vegas, Nevada; his maternal grandmother, Thelma Jones of Cedar Springs; a sister, Samara Dutton; a step sister, Jade Tolar; a step brother, Tyler Dutton; his best friend "like a brother", Ray Fox; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
