Mildred King

Mildred Ann "Mickie" King, age 81, of Greenville, passed away early Friday morning, August 25, 2023 at her home under the loving care of her family and Corewell Health Hospice. The daughter of James Evert & Irene A. (Thompson) Wilson, she was born on June 12, 1942 in Greenville. Friday morning On November 2, 1956, she married Larry Wayne King and together they raised six children and enjoyed 64 years of marriage until Larry passed away on December 8, 2020. She was also preceded in death by her father, James E. Wilson; her mother, Irene Rentsman; her step-father, Loren Rentsman; a sister, Linda Nichols; and three brothers, Larry Wilson, Jimmy Wilson, and David Rentsman. A devoted wife and mother, Mickie also baked and decorated cakes for many years, babysat for family and friends, and enjoyed crocheting... but found her greatest joy in time spent with her family. Surviving are her children, Larry W. King, Jr. & Sidney Spice of Jackson, Randy King & Julie Bradbury of Greenville, Rita & Alan Kornatowski of Gowen, Sherry & David Robirds of Holland, Steve King & Julie Larsen of Sheridan, and Allen & Brandy King of Vestaburg; twelve grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Rentsman and Richard Rentsman; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation is from 12-1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Christiansen's Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pastor Craig Pahl will officiate and burial will follow at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. from 12-1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 511 S.
