Mildred Kennedy

Mildred "Milli" Lynn Kennedy, age 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 26, 2018 in Grand Rapids. Milli was born on July 8, 1944 in New Kensington, Pennsylvania to Albert & Mildred (Hulton) Schreiber. The family later moved to West Michigan where she grew up. Milli is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Kennedy; and son, Clinton Fox. She is survived by her daughter, Christine (Tim) Mortimer; granddaughter, Tasha (Brandon) Ghastin; four beautiful great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Virginia Dunham, and Al Schreiber. New Kensington, Milli is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Kennedy; and son, Clinton Fox. She is survived by her daughter, Christine (Tim) Mortimer; granddaughter, Tasha (Brandon) Ghastin; four beautiful great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Virginia Dunham, and Al Schreiber. She was a courageous woman that boldly lived a colorful life. When diagnosed with cancer she chose to reject harsh medical treatments and embrace a quality of life. She enjoyed her remaining time with family and friends on her own terms. She went out like a boss! A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
