Michael R. Stewart, age 62, of Sparta, passed away January 6, 2017 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital surrounded by family. The son of Ronald R. Stewart and Joan E. Larrison, he was born March 21, 1954 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Dearborn, Michigan. Michael is the beloved husband of 27 years to Susie. Loving father of Abel, Joanna (Jeremiah) Lenau, Toby, Timothy, Christian, and Kathryn. Grandfather of two, Jonas and Simon. He is survived by his dear mother, Joan Johnson; Brother of Ronald, Colleen, Gary, and Kathleen (Justin) Cooper. Michael was a devoted husband, and friend. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Ballard Church of Christ, 1633 10 Mile Rd. N.W., Sparta, light refreshments will follow.Flowers may be sent to the church Saturday morning; or in lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the family.
