Michael Smith

Michael Calvin Smith, age 55, of Greenville, passed away Sunday morning, July 24, 2011 at Spectrum Health-United Hospital in Greenville. The son of Francis Calvin & Irma Karla (Scheiern) Smith, he was born on Jan. 2, 1956 in Ionia and had worked as a automobile mechanic. Mike was always willing to help family and friends especially when it came to fixing things in need of repair. Surviving are three daughters, Irma & John Bonoite Sr., Jill & Joshua Bills, all of Greenville, and Brittany & Brandon Miller of Belding; two sisters, Laura Cole of Ionia, and Julia Hayden of Lowell; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements were entrusted to the Christiansen Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Greenville.
