Michael Edward Richardson, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Michael Edward Richardson, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Mike proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. After retiring from General Motors 36th Street plant where he worked for 30 years, he went on to work for Kent Power and later, Fox Pools. He fiercely loved family, beer, good food, and football (in that order). He also enjoyed traveling, winters in Florida, camping, boating, and time with good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John "Jack" & Eileen (Oldfield) Richardson; as well as his brother, Gary Richardson. Surviving are his wife, Janice; daughter, Shannon Abraham and fiance Mark Sheehy; son, Ryan & Becky Richardson; stepchildren, Jodi Deems, Bobbie & Frank Wash, Heidi & Jeremy Johnson, and Charlie & Janet Afton; grandchildren, Alex, Pete, Taylor, Nick, Wylie, Afton, Autumn, Casey, Corey, and Shelby; great granddaughter, Ava; sister, Sharon & Larry Ranburger; best friends/hunting buddies, Fritz Anderson and Jerry Schueller; and many other family and friends. 6-9 p.m. Friday, April 22 www.MichiganCremation.com As Mike would say, "Semper Fi!"
