Mike was a man of strong faith. He enjoyed sharing the gospel at various men’s shelters around West Michigan. He fiercely loved and protected his family. Mike and Carrie lived in Indian River, Michigan, for 13 years before they moved to Vicksburg in 2016 due to Mike’s declining health. Mike was happiest working in nature and taking in the beauty of the up north. During this time, he worked as a Sawyer presenter for five years at the at the Historic Mill Creek in Mackinac. He often mentioned this was the favorite job he ever held.
