Michael William Markee - 36
Born April 1 1988
Died Sept. 21, 2024
Michael, Mike, Dad, Brother, Son, & Friend as he was called by many, led a life of character, laughter, charisma and inspired joy in others.
Michael leaves behind two Children, Chloee & Blake Markee, Brothers - Patric & Christopher Markee, Parents - William & Debra Markee, Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles, countless cousins, and many more friends.
He didn't take the traditional route after highschool of going to college immediately.
The majority of his professional career was spent at Bradford White, working from being a floor associate while eventually earning the position of Sr. Manufacturing Engineer. While working, with a child at home, Michael started going to Ferris, eventually graduating with a Bachelors of Science, May 2015. Something he was proud of, and something everyone who knew him understood what an accomplishment it was.
Michael was heavily involved in his children's lives, and through that touched the lives of many people. Sports like baseball, soccer, wrestling & things like trips to Costa Rica with his daughter. Everyone could see how much love he had for his children and how much joy he got from watching them grow. The stories that have poured in after news of his passing have a very centric theme involving his children, the impact he had on other people's children, and his dedication to his children. One thing Michael did right by in his short life, are his two kids, he truly lived his life in many ways, for them.
Michael had a unique ability to see when something wasn't right with a person, and find ways to try to cheer them up in his usual goofy self. It seemed once he accepted you as a friend, or framly (friends we choose as family), he was always checking in on you, wondering how you were doing or there with a joke and a smile.
Michael led a life everyone should be proud to remember, to share, and to strive to continue with. Things like not being afraid to play soccer with a couple of kids on the sidelines, or including the people watching from the outside. Listening to people tell you about their days, their struggles and relating in ways that have unimaginable impacts, both on them and others. Being able to recognize when friends need you and showing up with a smile or a laugh. These things are what he will be remembered by, and these things we can keep on sharing.
