Michael Dobbins

Michael Stanley Dobbins, age 71, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 18, 2021. He was born February 4, 1950, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late John and Catherine (Kneeley) Dobbins. Mike graduated from Wyoming Park High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. during the Vietnam War. Mike obtained his CDL from Lansing Community College and drove truck for many years after that. He loved racing stock cars in his younger years and watching NASCAR and other sports on television. Survivors include his wife, Sharon; children, Todd Dobbins, Steven (Robin) Dobbins, Tarah Harrison, Matthew Dobbins, Randall (Sarah) Buitendyk, and Jamie (Avery) Williams; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Anita (Robert) Woodward and Nancy Dobbins. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at SKLD Wyoming for taking care of Mike over this past year. Per Mike's wishes cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held at this time.
