Michael Buskard

Michael Albert Buskard, 55, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at home under the care of Spectrum Health Hospice, with his beloved wife and family at his side. The son of Alonzo & Winifred (Pierson) Buskard, he was born January 14, 1963 in Grand Rapids. In the summer of 1988 he married Peggy Sue Niva, and together they raised three children. Mike was a family man, he enjoyed spending time with those he cherished. He loved hunting with his son, James and camping with the whole family. He will be remembered for his passion for Halloween, which showed through his dedication to decorating his yard for all the neighborhood to enjoy. Any spare time Mike had you could always find him at the casino. He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Gary Buskard, and Mark Buskard; and his treasured mother-in-law, Nancy Niva. Surviving him are his mother; wife, Peggy Buskard; children, James & Sarah Buskard, Nicholas Buskard, and Amber Buskard; granddaughters, Taylor, and Brooklynne; brothers, Richard & Judy Buskard, and Terry Buskard; sister-in-law, Leslie (DeDe) Buskard; dear friend, Brenda Bostelaar; and furry canine companion, Bella; along with many other loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
