Maxine Elaine Roderick, age 64, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, formerly of Cadillac, Michigan, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026, peacefully at home with her family by her side.

The daughter of Ira & Ina Mae (Walker) Jamieson, she was born on June 6, 1962 in Cadillac, Michigan and attended Cadillac Public Schools and Linden Public Schools.

On October 4, 1980, in Cadillac, she married Kenneth Robert Roderick and together they enjoyed nearly 46 years of marriage and raised four children. She was first and foremost a homemaker and mother to her four children. With a heart of gold and a love for everyone, she was known as "Mom" to many others. She loved spending time with her family, especially family reunions, and get-togethers, She also cherished countless hours playing games, doing puzzles and crafts with her family. Some of her other favorite hobbies were spending time in nature, seeing the beauty in everything around her, being around flowers, and making her gnome gardens.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Cecil Rush; her father-in-law, Larry Roderick; brothers-in-law, Jim Sellers, Michael Fox, Steve & Jessica Roderick, Alan Roderick, and her half-siblings.

Surviving are her husband, Kenneth Roderick; their four children, Robert Roderick of Jenison, Jennifer & Patrick Poore of Grand Rapids, Wayne Roderick of Grand Rapids, and Geremy & Thadius Roderick of Ravenna; twelve grandchildren, Casey & Shay Roderick of Morley, Nathan Roderick, Levi Roderick, and Caleb Roderick, all of Jenison, Cameron Wilcox of Arizona, Louise Poore of Grand Rapids, Kaylee Roderick, Trenten Roderick, Nickolas Roderick, Ethan Roderick, Rowan Roderick, and Atticus Roderick, all of Ravenna; six great-grandchildren, Acacia, Bradley, Violet, Rosalynn, Scarlette, and Cameron Jr.; four sisters, Carolyn Sellers, Sharon Fox, Gloria & Terry Porter, Marlene & Kent Brintnell; her mother-in-law, Gloria Roderick; two brothers-in-law, Larry & Shelley Roderick and Brian & Connie Roderick.

A celebration of life will be held beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2780 Leonard Street N.E., Grand Rapids, Michigan 49525, with a luncheon to follow.
