Maude Huizenga

Maude M. Huizenga, age 88, of Howard City, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 surrounded by friends and family. The daughter of Harry and Lyda (Wilkinson) Johnson, she was born December 02, 1926 in Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Huizenga in 1991; a son, Raymond Huizenga in 2011; and a brother, Richard Johnson. Surviving are her children, Carole (Paul) Palethorpe, Glenna (Mike) Bird, Dale (Sally) Huizenga, Laura (Mike) Burden, and John (Terri) Huizenga; a daughter-in-law, Shelli Heizenga (Raymond's widow); fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held at a later date. Contributions in memory of Maude to Spectrum Health Hospice. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place.
