Mary Schnerch

Mary Helen (Nalbach) Schnerch, age 69, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019. She was born on October 21, 1949, in Grand Rapids to the late Anthony & Stella (Frejman) Nalbach. She is preceded in death by her four brothers, Paul, Tom, Robert and Larry. She was also preceded in death by her ex-husband & close friend, Tom Schnerch. Mary Helen worked at the Kent County Health Department for over 25 years until her retirement in 2011. She loved to read, go to the beach, the scent of lavender, Hallmark movies, shopping, her cat, Libby and most of all her family. Survivors include her daughter, Julie (John) Peck; grandsons, Joel & Billy Peck; nieces and nephew, Paula, Gerri, Denise, Kerrie Jo and Paul; she is further survived by many great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 10:45 am on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Basilica of St. Adalbert, 654 Davis Street NW, Grand Rapids. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am.
