Mary Bunce

Mrs. Mary May Bunce, age 94, formerly of Greenville, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 7, 2007 at Spectrum Health-Kent Community Campus, Grand Rapids. The daughter of William & Cora May (Bush) Wilson, she was born on Sept. 4, 1912 in Edmore. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she also enjoyed sewing and quilting, traveling, and was avid rock hound, collecting and polishing various rocks from her travels. She had been a member of Oakfield Baptist Church, and also attended Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Dell Bunce; two sisters, Effie May Abbot and Charlotte Sorensen, a brother, Thomas Wilson; and a great grandson, Jacob Endres. Surviving are two sons, James N. Bunce Sr. of Rockford, and Charles Bunce of Greenville; six grandchildren, James N. Bunce, Jr. of Rockford, Robyn & Scott Endres of Grand Rapids, Todd & Diana Bunce of Castalia, Ohio, Jennifer & Shaun Biel of Grand Rapids, William Bunce, and Rebecca Bunce; eleven great grandchildren, Benjamin, Elyse, and Nathan Endres, all of Grand Rapids, Todd C., Jeremy, and Kaila Bunce, all of Castalia, Ohio, and Luke, Rachel, Rebekah, Caleb, and Gabriel Biel, all of Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007 at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, with visitation from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Oakfield Township Cemetery.
