Marvin Snoeyink

Marvin Jay Snoeyink Sr., age 84, of Cedar Springs, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2018. The son of Steve & Ann (Lem) Snoeyink, he was born on December 9, 1933 in Grand Rapids. Marvin loved golfing and in his younger years to go hunting. He was an avid fan of many Michigan sports. Marvin was a major fan of the Red Wings hockey team, the Tigers, Lions, U of M and MSU. He is survived by his two sons Marvin "Jay" & Julia, and Doug & Julie; his 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters Bonnie & Denny Brunsting and Cheryl & Kerm Lems as well as a daughter-in-law Tracy Alvesteffer. Marvin was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Barbara, his son Warren, sister Donna and brother, Ken. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 3627 Linden Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service.
