Marsha Jean Ford, a beacon of love and generosity, graced the world with her presence on April 11, 1951, in Muskegon, MI. Born to Devere and Anna Schmidt, she later moved to Sand Lake, Michigan, where she spent many years cultivating a life filled with joy, laughter, and countless cherished memories. The world dimmed a little on February 11, 2024, as Marsha left us, leaving behind a legacy of love and a life lived with courage and zest.
In her younger days, Marsha was a force to be reckoned with on the bowling lanes, where she and her beloved husband, Timothy Ford, whom she married on January 12, 1979, often spent their time. A smart woman with a deep love for her family, she transitioned from cheering at her children's sporting events to cheering at her grandchildren's games, never missing a chance to demonstrate her unwavering support and love. Marsha loved watching the Red Wings and the Lions games with her family, bonfires with friends and family, and spoiling her grandchildren rotten. Her employment as a School Bus Aid in the transportation industry allowed her the chance to extend her warmth and kindness to countless other children, reflecting her generous spirit.
She was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagle and a devout believer in Christ Jesus as her Savior. But her most prized achievement was her family: her children Andrea Schaefer and Andrew Ford, her daughter-in-law Sarah Ford, her son-in-law Jason Schaefer, her sister Tammy Klein, her brothers Chris Schmidt and Jerald Creason, her nine grandchildren, and her great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Timothy Ford, and her parents, Devere and Anna Schmidt.
Marsha Ford was a loving, generous, courageous, and smart woman - a woman whose love and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know her. Please join us in celebrating her life by sharing your memories and photos on her memorial page at www.MichiganCremation.com and reminding us all of the incredible woman that Marsha was.
