Marquette Anthony Riggs, age 45, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
The son of Mary Ann Smith & Willie Armstrong, he was born on August 27, 1980 in Peoria, Illinois, and later moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan.
He had an amazing smile, a kind soul, and dealt with his share of struggles. He had a passion to draw, loved basketball, football (especially Deion Sanders), and loved Lil Wayne "Hot Boyz"!
Surviving are his birth parents, Mary Smith of Kentwood, Michigan, and Willie Armstrong of Peoria, Illinois; his step-father, Eddie Smith, Sr.; his brothers and sisters, Kesha Riggs, Brandon Riggs, Naomi Smith, Eddie Smith, Jr., Rachel Smith, Damon, Sabrina, Nakesha, and James; and many nieces and nephews.
Marquette will truly be missed, and always loved forever in our hearts. We love you "Quette"!
