Mark Charles Phillips, age 55, formerly of Saranac, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 14, 2022 in Largo, Florida.
The son of Gary Duane & Jackie Lynn (Vosburg) Phillips, he was born on November 23, 1966 in Grand Rapids and attended Saranac Community Schools. Mechanically gifted from an early age, Mark worked as a small engine and motorcycle mechanic. An avid fisherman, Mark enjoyed the outdoors and wintering in Florida.
Surviving are his parents, Gary & Jackie Phillips of Greenville; two sons, Charles Fetterhoff and Nicholas Phillips; four grandchildren, Lilee Fetterhoff, Cole Phillips, Isaiah Phillips, and Nevaeh Phillips; two sisters, Melanie Hansen of Greenville, and Kelly & Mark Chiarello of Juno Beach, Florida; three nieces, Alyssa Stirling, Deanna Johnson, and Angelina Chiarello; two nephews, Anthony Chiarello and Atticus Chiarello; a great-niece and two great-nephews, Nova Stirling, Harrison Stirling, and Lennon Lewis; uncles and aunts, Roger Phillips, Pat & Steve Moore, Mike & Dawn Phillips, LuAnn Ferris, Bill & Jane Phillips, Verle & Jerry Sharp, and Bert Vosburg; and several cousins.
Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Greenville Bible Methodist Church, 929 E. Greenbrier Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Rev. Steven Bills and the Rev. Joseph Smith will officiate and committal services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Easton Township Cemetery.
