Mark Anthony Kloeckner, age 75 of Edmore, passed away at home on Monday, June 22, 2026. The son of Francis John & Mary M. (Bengel) Kloeckner, he was born on May 10, 1951 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mark graduated from Vestaburg High School in 1969. On August 27, 1971, he married Sandra Jean Watters, and together, they enjoyed nearly fifty-five years of marriage and raised two daughters.

While in high school, Mark was a member of the football team. After earning his Associate’s Degree, he worked for 20 years at Gen Corp Automotive in Ionia. He then spent another 20 years as the Meat Department Manager at Jorgensen’s in Edmore before retiring.

Mark enjoyed hunting and fishing trips with his good friends, Jimi Pleasants, Don Phillips, and Denny Mann. He also cherished time spent boating and camping with his family and playing cards with friends. A talented woodworker and skilled handyman, Mark could fix just about anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand. His craftsmanship, generosity, and love for family and friends will be remembered by all who knew him.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Larry Kloeckner; and a grandson, Jonah Perkins. Surviving are his wife, Sandy “Spike” Kloeckner; his two daughters, Shannon (John) Perkins, and Lori (Art Tait) Kloeckner; two grandsons, Jakob Perkins and Javon Perkins; a granddaughter, Delaney Kloeckner-Tait; two sisters, Kristy (Brett Jenison) Drumm, and Sue Kloeckner; a brother-in-law, Scott (Lorie) Watters; and two sisters-in-law, Pam (Craig) Dyer, and Irene Kloeckner
