Mark Daniel Brown, age 31, of Middleville, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 22, 2021. He was born August 14, 1989, in Grand Rapids, MI to Steven and Janet (Hoffman) Brown. Mark graduated from Thornapple Kellogg High School with the class of 2007. He attended CMU and KVCC before enlisting in the military. Mark proudly served his county for five years in the United States Air Force where he was an ammunition specialist. He served in New Mexico, Korea and Guam. Mark loved sports! He loved playing and talking about all kinds of sports (especially the Detroit Lions!). He enjoyed school sports including football, wrestling, basketball and baseball. As an adult, he loved skiing, golf, fishing, boating, bean bags, and board and card games with his family. Mark was known for his wicked sense of humor, but also his big heart and gentle, sensitive soul. He loved his family and his cat! He had many struggles in life, but was strong and pushed on when most would have given up. Survivors include his parents, Steve and Janet; brother, Scott Brown; maternal grandfather, Henry Hoffman; paternal grandmother, Barbara Shomaker; paternal grandfather, Robert (Fran) Brown; and many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and his very special friend, Quynh. Mark was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Patricia Hoffman; paternal step-grandfather, Jack Shoemaker; aunt, Jo Sanford; and cousin, Chad Atkins. We know they are with him now. Cremation has taken place and no public services will be held at this time.
