Mrs. Marion May Zenk, aged 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 8, 2009.
Marion was a long-time member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and was known by many children as "Grandma Marion" while working in the Church day care and also while operating a day care at home for many years.
Surviving are her husband of 68 years Johnny Zenk; their children, Peggy (Mike) Greenfield, and Allen (Jean) Zenk; six grandchildren, Eric (Amy) Greenfield, Lisa Zenk, Andrew Zenk, Katie Zenk, and Amy Scheidel; one great granddaughter Anna Greenfield; sisters, Peggy (Jess) Knipp, Virginia (Fred) McEvoy; brother-in-law, Bob (Marcia) Zenk; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon & Clara Pierce; and by two sisters, Charlotte Kawka and Dorothy Grandstrom.
Memorial services are at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11th at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4301 Ambrose Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10-11 a.m. Light refreshments will follow the service.
