Marilyn Ann Rittenberry, 78, of Greenville, passed away July 20, 2022, at 9:25am at home surrounded by her family. The daughter of Clyde and Mary Cutler, she was born on May 13, 1944, in Lansing, Michigan.
On June 29, 1968, in Greenville, she married Jimmy Dare Rittenberry and together they enjoyed more than 47 years of marriage. Together they raised their family in Greenville and in retirement enjoyed spending their winters in Desert Hot Springs California. Marilyn was a proud mother who dedicated her life to her family and children. Marilyn held various jobs throughout her life which includes as a state inspector, at Ore-Ida, and at Gibson's where she met her husband.
Marilyn's most recent hobbies included reading, gardening, shopping, baking, spending time in her flowers, going to the casino and watching her tigers. In Marilyn's early years her hobbies were around raising her children and included camping, traveling, snowmobiling, Girl Scout troop leader, and being active in the PTA.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmy Rittenberry; a son-in-law, Vince Bennett; and granddaughter, Brittney Krantz.
Together, she and Jimmy had five daughters, Kelly (Billy) O'Brien, Theresa Bennett, Kim Carrick, Robin (Troy) Miller, and Tonja Rittenberry (Tim Nielsen); eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; siblings, Jeri Walcutt, Jan Franklin, Jo Taylor and Kenny (Judy) Cutler; and lifelong friends, George, Bev, and Terri.
