Marilee Hansen

Mrs. Marilee Hansen, age 76, of Gowen, went to be with her Lord early Sunday morning, Feb. 17, 2008 from her home under the loving care of her family and Spectrum Health Hospice. The daughter of Clifton & Nettie (Fries) Baker, she was born on Jan. 5, 1932 in Lakeview. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Marliee found lifes greatest joy in spending time with her family. She also enjoyed knitting, playing cards, and her cat, Zippy. She was preceded in death by her parents; her ex-husband, Robert V. Hansen; and two brothers, Donald Baker, and Delmar Baker. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert T. & Robin Hansen of Gowen; three grandchildren, Miranda & Jeremy Dryer, Timothy & Stephanie Hansen, and Dana DeGroot-Hansen, all of Gowen; three great grandchildren with a fourth on the way, Hayden Hansen, Nolan V. Hansen, and Alyson Dryer; a sister, Janice Ackley of Lakeview; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2007 at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, Greenville, with visitation from 3-5 p.m. As Marilee wished, cremation has already taken place and final interment will be in West Pine Cemetery.
