Margie Lemasters

Margie Jean (Smith) Lemasters, age 93, of Grandville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 31, 2020. She was born September 19, 1927, in Grand Rapids, to the late Elgie and Frances (Miller) Smith. Margie graduated from White Cloud High School. She married the love of her life, Allan L. Lemasters on May 22, 1957. They celebrated 53 years of marriage together before Allan passed away on February 17, 2011. Margie was a homemaker who loved talking about her life experiences and was always a social butterfly. She is survived by four children: Michael Lemasters, Kathleen (Chuck) Haven, Patrick (Iris) Lemasters, and Yvonne (Robert) Spurgeon; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She will be especially missed by her companion kitty, Simba. Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Allan; daughter, Joan Brown in 2017; daughter-in-law, Linda Lemasters in 2018; sister, Doris Goodwin in 2014; and brother-in-law, Wayne Goodwin in 2020. Per Margie's wishes cremation has taken place and she will be buried and join her husband, Allan at Fort Custer National Cemetery in the spring.
