Margaret Ward

Mrs. Margaret Josephine Ward, age 84, of Greenville, passed away late Tuesday evening, October 19, 2010 at Twin Oaks Retirement Living in Gowen. The daughter of Leo A. & Beatrice T. (Lamb) OBrien, she was born on April 7, 1926 in Greenville. On March 2, 1946, in Greenville, she married Forest Bernard Ward and together they enjoyed 47 years of marriage until Bernie preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Harriet DeRosha. A devoted wife and homemaker, Margaret was a faithful member of St. Charles Catholic Church. Surviving are a brother, Gerald OBrien of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation is Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church, Greenville, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Father Michael F. Cilibraise will preside and Rite of Committal will follow at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Margaret would have appreciated contributions in her memory to the St. Charles Catholic Church.
