Manuela Chavez-Salto, age 61, of Grand Rapids, passed away from complications of COVID-19 on January 1, 2021. She was born on May 27, 1959, in Nocupetaro, Michoacan, Mexico. Manuela attended Shrine of St. Francis Xavier & Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Conrrado Chavez-Chavez; children, Maria, Justino, Ignacia, Lorenza, and Jaime; 12grandchildren; and four siblings and her father. Manuela was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, mother-in-lawand grandmother. She always showed kindness to others and offered her friendship to those she met. Her radiant smile always brightened up the room and was always willing to help those in need. She was a hard worker all her life, from helping to raise her sibling at a young age to working to help her husband support her family and always showing her children the way of the catholic faith. She loved to cook and loved to share it with the ones she loved. Her love, smile, and kindness will always be carried in each of the family member's hearts. Manuela was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. She always showed kindness to others and offered her friendship to those she met. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at St. Francis Xavier & Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose Quintana officiating 250 Brown ST SE, Grand Rapids, 49507. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at St. Francis Xavier & Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose Quintana officiating 250 Brown ST SE, Grand Rapids, 49507 . Fue muy trabajadora toda su vida, desde pequena ayudando a criar a sus hermanos y despues trabajando con su esposo para criar a sus hijos. Siempre mostro a sus hijos como vivir una vida de fe catolica. Amaba la cocina y compartir con sus seres queridos. Su amor, sonrisa, y amabilidad se llevara en los corazones de sus seres queridos.
