November 10, 1939 — January 25, 2012

Lynn Allen Wagner, of Kentwood, age 72, went to be with his Lord on January 25th, 2012 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Lorraine Wagner, his former wife of 46 years, Beverly, and his brother Dale. Surviving are his wife, Sharon; four sons, Clint, Michael (Shelly), Todd (Jodie), Lynn II (Tammy) and stepson, Todd and stepdaughter, Lisa; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandson; brothers, Larry (Sharon), Michael (Karen) and Joy Wagner; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Lynn graduated from Godwin High School in 1957. After High School, he proudly served his country as Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany, Turkey, Ethiopia and completed two tours in Vietnam. He worked for Steelcase for 27 years before retiring. Lynn was a member of Woodview Christian Church where he served as an Elder. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with family and golfing. He was a Mason of the Malta Lodge and held the office of Worshipful Master. For the past eight years, Lynn was a familiar face at the Kentwood Sam's Club where he worked as a greeter. His wish was to be cremated. Interment for immediate family will take place at Fort Custer in Battle Creek at a later date. Visitation for relatives and friends will be Friday, February 3rd from 1 to 3p.m., and 6 to 9pm at Woodview Christian Church. A Memorial Celebration will also be held at Woodview Christian Church on Saturday, February 4th at 11:00 a.m. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Woodview Christian Church, Spectrum Hospice, or American Cancer Society.
